The hallmark feature of Venetian Plaster is the high shine. The multiple layers and towelling technique is what creates a result that has depth and high gloss. It has a luxurious feel that complements many different design elements and styles.
The amount of layering, burnishing with the trowel and buffering when dry will determine the amount of shine. Traditional Venetian Plaster has a high shine a flat, smooth, blanket coverage without too many characteristics.
This project is high shine Venetian Plaster complementing the European inspired design of the home.
By using small circular pattern, the result is a soft two tone effect, playing on depth and lightness. The edges of the curved stair case, niches and walls were left soft and free hand to tie in with the Spanish style of the home.
